Hands-on art activities for all ages
Bringing the family to meet the weirdly lovable, lovably weird creatures of Murakami: Monsterized? After enjoying the exhibition, there’s even more to experience in the Shriram Experiential Learning Center. Drop in to get creative with hands-on art activities inspired by Murakami. Mix and match monster parts to make fantastic new combinations in the Monster Lab; send some Monster Mail; or create your own weirdly lovable Monster Friend. (You can take your Monster Friend home or let them sleep over at the museum for some monstrous mischief!) Shriram also offers a chance to relax and unwind in the Reading Corner with a fun selection of manga and monster-themed books.
The Shriram Learning Center is located on the museum’s first floor, just past the admission booths, on the left side as you enter Bogart Court.
Visiting on a weekday? School groups occasionally hold brief meetings in the learning center. If you find it occupied, please check back after about 20 minutes.
